For this project, the Lemanski team worked with the client to renovate a bathroom in an existing condominium unit in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. The team worked together with the client on the overall design of the project as well as choosing the materials that were used to completely upgrade the existing bathroom. Based on the owner’s request for a contemporary style that would help increase the home’s resale value, the team provided a few different design options for the client to choose from. The job included the removal of an old fiberglass tub which was replaced with a modern, free-standing shower fitted with a glass wall and door. The job also entailed the replacement of some rotted wood that was discovered when a section of the original structure was gutted. The owner was made aware of the extra step and minor cost involved to replace the rotted wood, and the project then moved ahead on schedule. During the job, the Lemanski team also worked closely with the building’s facility department to comply with all parking, delivery, disposal, and security parameters, while also minimizing noise, dust, and all other potential impact on the residents of the complex. When the job was complete, one aspect of the finished bathroom that the client was particularly pleased with was the new light gray counter top which tied in nicely with the new tile floor and wood-finished cabinets. The client was also very pleased with the custom-made mirrors and surrounding trim installed by the Lemanski team.
